St. Bernadette's Social Centre has been home to regular monthly "Sweet Soul Music" nights since 2003. The promoters have run Soul nights regularly in Whitefield since October 1991, making this one of longest running Northern Soul events in the area, with a membership of around 300 at the time of writing (May 2006).
The event is normally held on the second Saturday monthly (although there are a few exceptions, please see calendar below) from 8 pm till 12:30 am. Entrance is £2 to members (£3 non-members) payable OTD.
Co-promoters Has and Ian have an across the board music policy with guest DJs providing a variety of music played on the night.

The centre is set back off the main road at the corner of Selby Avenue and Manchester Road (A56 road to Bury) in Whitefield, just a mile or so from the M60 orbital junction 17. Car parking is available at the side and in front of the centre.
